Nick Fuentes Tells an Inconvenient Truth
Cue the "Heartbreaking: Worst Person You Know..." meme.
Hey folks. I’m giving you one last update before we watch the debate next week and get fully back into Jackal Election Season™. And I’m going to do so through my good friend, Nick Fuentes. How’s that for a lede?
This will be a short Jackal, but I wanted to highlight this rant from Nick Fuentes, because I thought it was really illuminating. If you’re not familiar, Fuentes is the openly racist, anti-Semitic, and misogynist that Trump met with a couple years ago. In other words, Fuentes will probably be a moderate Republican by 2026 (only half-kidding).
This week, Donald Trump let something spill in public that he wasn’t supposed to: He admitted that he lost the 2020 election by a “whisker.” This admission also came after an event in August where Trump admitted he “came up short” in the 2020 Election. Fuentes is probably not aware, but Trump has actually done this before. He has conceded that he lost a number of times over the past few years, they just happen to be interpreted as “slips” of the tongue, since he will turn on a dime and insist that he was “cheated” only a day later. In any case, Fuentes’s reaction is worth watching:
It’s kind of amazing to see him coming to grips with everything in real time. But all of his points are correct: If Trump actually did lose in 2020 (reality), then 1,600 people who stormed the Capitol are in jail for no reason, and every Trump supporter who has had to suffer the personal consequences of their support - from Trump’s personal attorneys down to Fuentes himself - are all being punished for nothing. That is the truth.
Do I feel bad for Fuentes? I mean, he is a holocaust denying anti-Semite and an overt racist, so I don’t really feel bad for him. But part of me wants to! I think it is plainly obvious to a lot of people that Trump is a Giga-Grifter™ who cares about no one but himself, but it doesn’t seem like it was obvious to Fuentes.
Maybe Fuentes will re-examine his life choices and make changes! Hope springs eternal. But I will always be focused on the guy who makes all of this suffering possible, and give grace to people who get duped. This applies less to Fuentes and more to Trump voters who do not know any better.
I told you this would be short, but the Jackal has a lot to cover over the next few weeks. I’ll do a post on a conservative media company being paid by Russia and then do a separate post on the debate this coming Tuesday. See you all then.
