A Quick Note about Floods

There is no Jackal coming to you all today because the Podhaskie household experienced a flood last night, all thanks to Denver’s historic downpour over the past three days. Everything is dry and safe, although our guest bedroom is down one carpet. Things could have been worse.

But rather than leave you with nothing, I wanted to highlight this relevant piece from The New Yorker, which goes over California’s own historic rainfall after many years of drought. Even if you don’t want to read the whole thing, the pictures are pretty great.
